Product Information
- Quinazoline, 2,4-dimethyl-
Dimethylquinazoline is a biomolecular with spontaneous activity. It binds to receptor cells and has been shown to inhibit the growth of mitochondria in syncytial virus infection. Dimethylquinazoline inhibits the mitochondrial cytochrome and blocks the synthesis of ATP, leading to cell death. This drug also has an inhibitory effect on viral replication, but it is not active against non-syncytial viruses. The biological properties of dimethylquinazoline are due to its ability to form a nonpolar solvent that efficiently solubilizes nucleic acids and proteins.
