2,2-Difluorocyclopropyl methanol is a retinoic acid analog that binds to the retinoic acid receptor and activates gene transcription. It has been shown to bind to the receptor with high affinity and act as an agonist of retinoic acid. The molecular weight of 2,2-difluorocyclopropyl methanol is 225.24 g/mol, which is higher than that of retinoic acid (158.27 g/mol).
