Description:
Disodium succinate is a sodium salt that is used as an energy substrate in the citric acid cycle. It is also used to treat metabolic disorders such as hypoglycemia and hyperammonemia. Disodium succinate has been shown to be effective in treating fatigue, muscle pain, and weakness. This drug may have anti-inflammatory effects as well. Disodium succinate is also a component of some pharmaceutical preparations, such as methylprednisolone and anhydrous sodium succinate.
