Description:
Di-tert-Butylmethylsilane is a catalyst for the stereoselective hydrogenation of lactams. It can be used to synthesize chiral lactams from racemic amines and alcohols. Di-tert-Butylmethylsilane also catalyzes the desulfurization of organic compounds, such as ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylene. It is typically used in catalytic amounts as a liquid or gas.
