Description

Diethyl (4-fluorobenzyl)phosphonate is an azaindole amide with a heterocyclic group. It has been demonstrated to be cytotoxic against a range of human tumor cell lines in vitro and in vivo, with the optimal activity being observed at concentrations of 0.1-1 micromolar. Diethyl (4-fluorobenzyl)phosphonate has also been shown to inhibit the production of cytokines such as IL-6 and IL-8, which are important for the inflammatory response. This compound has been synthesized and crystallized in order to examine its chemical properties.
