Description:

2,6-Dichloropyridine-3-boronic acid is a boronate compound that reacts with the nucleophilic triisopropyl borate to form a 2,6-dichloropyridine derivative. This reaction is often referred to as a Suzuki coupling. The 2,6-dichloropyridine derivative can be used in cross-coupling reactions with various halides and x-ray crystal structures have been obtained for this compound. The disubstituted 2,6-dichloropyridine derivative has been shown to react intramolecularly with trimethyl borate.
