Description

1,2-Dimethyl-3-propylimidazoliumiodide is a ligand for the enhancement of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It can be used as an additive in chromatographic methods to increase the resolution of analytes on the basis of their hydrophobicity. This compound has been shown to enhance photocurrents in a covid-19 pandemic assay, and is also used as a binder in functional theory studies. 1,2-Dimethyl-3-propylimidazoliumiodide can be dissolved in acetonitrile and deionized water and has been shown to bind to polymeric matrices.
