Description:

2,4-Dichloro-6-nitrobenzenamine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H3Cl2N2O. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents. 2,4-Dichloro-6-nitrobenzenamine has two isomers: 2,4-dichloro and 6-nitro. The two isomers differ by the position of the nitro group on the benzene ring. In each case, one of the chlorines has been replaced by an oxygen atom. 2,4-Dichloro-6-nitrobenzenamine reacts with hydroxyl groups to form copolymers that are biodegradable and can be used as ion exchange resins. This compound also has acidic properties due to its aniline group and protonation potential of pyridinium ions.
