This compound is an efficient method for the activation of carboxylic acids, which can be accomplished through a variety of methods. DTBPP is not active as a hydroxyl group or formyl group and has no inhibitory effect on lapatinib, an anticancer drug. However, it inhibits the formation of amide bonds and magnesium complexes with many functional groups.
