Description:

2,2-Dichloropropane is an organic compound that can be used as a substrate film in the activation of dimethyl fumarate. It has been shown to react with microsomal cytochrome P-450 enzymes and form 2,2-dichloroethanol and hydrogen chloride. The spectra for the 2,2-dichloropropane molecule show that it is a reactive, metastable molecule with a detectable concentration of 0.1 mM. The reaction products are determined by chromatographic science and include hydrogenated 2,2-dichloropropane and nonpolar solvent.
