Description:

3,6-Dihydro-2H-pyran-4-boronic acid pinacol ester is a palladium complex that is used in organic synthesis. It is prepared from 3,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-4-boronic acid and pinacol by reaction with boron trifluoride diethyl etherate. This complex has been shown to be effective in the elimination of ketones and in the reduction of alkenes and hydrazones. The synthesized product can be purified by column chromatography or recrystallization.
