Diethylcarbamyl chloride is a chemical compound that inhibits the activity of enzymes such as toll-like receptor and receptor activity. Diethylcarbamyl chloride has been found to be carcinogenic in rats and mice, but not in hamsters. It also has shown to have an inhibitory effect on HIV infection by blocking the integrase enzyme. This chemical can be used as an analytical method for testing samples of bowel disease, due to its ability to inhibit the activity of enzymes involved in inflammatory bowel disease. Diethylcarbamyl chloride is a solid catalyst that can be used for reactions involving carbonyl groups and sodium salts.
