4,4''-Diamino-p-terphenyl (DAPT) is a mesoporous material with high transport properties. It has been shown to be bifunctional and functional theory simulations have also been conducted to determine the interlinked chemical structures of DAPT. The dehydrogenation of DAPT has been studied at different temperatures and it was found that ligands on the surface of DAPT were important in the dehydrogenation process. This material can be used in microscopy for ligand studies because it is hydrophobic and has a monolayer surface.
