Product Information
- Dibromochrysene
- 6,12-Dibromochrysen
6,12-Dibromochrysene (6,12-DB) is a functional group that can be used in organic synthesis. It is a brominated aromatic hydrocarbon with two methyl groups on the ring. 6,12-DB has been shown to produce an optimal reaction when heated in a vacuum at 300 degrees Celsius. 6,12-DB reacts with metal surfaces and produces nanoribbons of metal on the surface. The vapor pressure of 6,12-DB is high and it has a molecule weight of 172 g/mol and trimethyl termination. The molecular structure of 6,12-DB consists of three benzene rings that are connected by alternating single and double bonds.
6,12-Dibromochrysene is used in microscopy as a reagent for electron microscopy because it provides excellent contrast for electron microscopy images.
