Description:
2,4-Diamino-6-methoxy-1,3,5-triazine is a formaldehyde releasing agent that has synergistic effects when used with phenol. It can be used in the manufacture of polymeric composites and intumescent fire retardant coatings. 2,4-Diamino-6-methoxy-1,3,5-triazine also has a high index of thermal stability and a low residue content. The phosphorous content is less than 0.01%. The copolymerization effect can be detected using thermogravimetric analysis and spectrometry techniques.
