Product Information

Name:
1-(2,6-Dichlorophenyl)-1H-Indole-2,3-Dione
Synonyms:
  • 1-(2,6-Dichlorophenyl)indole-2,3-dione
Description:

Venlafaxine is a drug that belongs to the group of serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. It is used for the treatment of depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and social phobia. Venlafaxine has been shown to increase bone mineralization by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and activation. It also inhibits the transformation of diclofenac into its n-oxide form in wastewater, which may be due to its ability to form an imine with diclofenac. Venlafaxine can also reduce the formation of activated metabolites when it is present in ozonated wastewater.
