Description:

2,4-Dichlorobenzyl cyanide is a synthetic compound that inhibits the aerobic photooxidation of chloride. This leads to a decrease in the production of hydrogen peroxide and superoxide radicals, both of which are involved in cancer cell proliferation. 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl cyanide has been shown to have high cytotoxicity against both Ephestia kuehniella and Musca domestica. It has also been shown to have specific interactions with proteins that contain the Phe-Gly-Leu (FGEL) sequence.
