Description:
2,6-Dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-amine is an agonist of the serotonin receptor and has been shown to have a high affinity for the androgen receptor. It is a selective serotonin receptor antagonist. 2,6-Dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-amine has been used in the synthesis of a series of selective serotonin receptor antagonists. This chemical also inhibits hydrolysis reactions and is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of other compounds. The compound has been shown to be a potent activator of the androgen receptor, with a Ki value of 0.1 nM; it also has significant affinity for the estrogen receptor (Ki = 1 nM).
