Synonyms:
  • 2,3-Difluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride
  • 2,5-Difluorobenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride
  • 2,5-Difluorobenzenesulphonyl chloride
  • Benzenesulfonyl chloride, 2,5-difluoro-
  • 2,5-Difluorophenyl sulfonyl chloride
Description:

2,5-Difluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a class of nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. It has been shown to have affinity for the mineralocorticoid receptor, and can be used as an anti-inflammatory drug. 2,5-Difluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride is selective for the mineralocorticoid receptor, and does not show affinity for other steroid receptors or enzymes. The metabolic stability of 2,5-difluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride has also been shown to be greater than that of other classes of nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists.
