2,3-Dichloro-6-nitroquinoxaline is a fluorescent compound that is synthesized from oxalic acid and hydrazine. It has been used as a selective reagent in the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives. 2,3-Dichloro-6-nitroquinoxaline has also been used to study the transformation of the fluorescence properties of diazotised benzene and nitrobenzene.
