Description:

Danshensu is an injection solution that can be used in the treatment of oxidative injury. It contains a mixture of salvia miltiorrhizae and p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which are natural products that have antioxidant effects. The antioxidant activity of Danshensu is related to its ability to scavenge free radicals and inhibit lipid peroxidation. Danshensu has been shown to improve myocardial infarct size by affecting energy metabolism and the concentration-time curve for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This drug also has the potential to act as a matrix effect enhancer, which could be useful for PCR reactions performed under constant pressure. Danshensu also has anti-inflammatory activities that may be due to its production of growth factor-β1, which inhibits proinflammatory cytokine production.
