Product Information
4,4'-Dinitrodiphenic acid is a mutagen with biphenyl and electron-donating properties. It can be used as an electron acceptor in chemical reactions and has been used as a chromatographic adsorbent for the separation of salmonella typhimurium. 4,4'-Dinitrodiphenic acid has been shown to cause frameshift mutations in bacterial DNA by inserting itself into the DNA chain. These mutations are often lethal to the bacteria.
