2,3-Difluorobenzamide is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms. It has been shown to have a wide range of antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi that are resistant to conventional antibiotics. 2,3-Difluorobenzamide also has anti-inflammatory properties and can inhibit acetylcholine release from cholinergic nerve endings. 2,3-Difluorobenzamide is not active against cancer cells or autoimmune diseases. The hydrogen fluoride in 2,3-difluorobenzamide may be toxic to humans at high doses.
