Product Information
3-Difluoromethylaniline is an organic compound that incorporates a difluoromethyl group. It is a potent, selective and irreversible inhibitor of the protein kinase C (PKC) isoforms, PKC-alpha and PKC-gamma. 3-Difluoromethylaniline binds to the ATP site of the PKC enzyme and prevents ATP from binding, leading to inactivation of the enzyme. The crystal structure of 3-difluoromethylaniline has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The chloride ion forms hydrogen bonds with two hydroxyl groups on the molecule. Disordered regions are observed in electron density maps and mass spectra indicate the presence of 1-4c alkyl chains. Kinase inhibitors like 3-difluoromethylaniline are used as anticancer drugs, to treat psoriasis, arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. They also have
