Product Information

Name:
2,7-Difluorofluoren-9-One
Description:

2,7-Difluorofluoren-9-one is a disubstituted compound that can be found in tetrahydrofuran. The resonance spectra of 2,7-difluorofluoren-9-one show the presence of electron spin resonance (ESR) signals at g = 3.2 and g = 1.8 with coupling constants J = 14 Hz and J = 26 Hz respectively. Substituent effects on the ESR spectrum are seen as changes in the intensities of these two peaks. The substituent causes an increase in intensity of the resonance peak at g = 3.2 and a decrease in intensity of the resonance peak at g = 1.8. This change can be correlated with the electron spin density distribution on the ring system, which affects how electrons interact with surrounding molecules to produce ESR signals.
