Description

4,5-Difluorobenzo[a]Pyrene is a genotoxic compound that is used as a probe for aromatic compounds. It has been shown to induce liver tumors in mice and increases the risk of cancer in humans exposed to high levels of this chemical. 4,5-Difluorobenzo[a]Pyrene is a reactive compound that can form covalent adducts with nucleophilic groups on proteins, such as the hydroxyl group on amino acids or the phosphate groups on nucleic acids.
