N,N-Diethyl-2-fluorobenzamide is a trifluoromethyl nitro compound that was first synthesized in 1977 and is an experimental drug. It has been used as a regiospecific, regioselective Friedel Crafts catalyst for the synthesis of chloroformates, formates, and phthalic anhydrides. N,N-Diethyl-2-fluorobenzamide has also been applied as a palladium catalyst for the formation of propionate esters from alcohols.
