Description:

1,4-Dibromo-2-fluoro-5-methylbenzene is a dopaminergic ligand that binds to the dopamine D2 receptor. The affinity of this ligand for the dopamine D2 receptor was found to be similar in rat striatum and has been shown to be dependent on the pH of the medium. 1,4-Dibromo-2-fluoro-5-methylbenzene has been shown to have pharmacological effects on rat striatal homogenates and can be used as a radioligand. This ligand is also useful as a PET imaging agent for positron emission tomography (PET) studies of dopamine D2 receptors in human subjects.
