Product Information
(R)-2-(2,5-Difluorophenyl)pyrrolidine (DPP) is an imine that can be synthesized from 2,5-difluorobenzonitrile and (S)-2-amino-3-methylpentanoic acid. This compound has been postulated to act as a dehydrogenase catalyst with a preference for the reaction of nitro groups to amines. The mechanism of this catalytic activity is not yet clear. DPP has optical properties that are sensitive to solvents and can be used to detect the presence of nitro groups in organic molecules. Larotrectinib is an inhibitor of the RET protein receptor tyrosine kinase and has been shown to selectively inhibit tumor growth in mouse models of RET gene mutation associated cancers.
