Product Information

Name:
4-[2,6-Dichloro-4-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenoxy]Aniline
Description:

4-[2,6-Dichloro-4-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenoxy]Aniline is a compound that is used as an inhibitor for polymerization of polyesters. It inhibits the polymerization reaction by preventing the formation of polyester chains and thus prevents crosslinking. This compound has been shown to be effective at low concentrations and can be used as a replacement for other more toxic inhibitors such as 2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenol, which are known to cause discoloration in polymers. 4-[2,6-Dichloro-4-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenoxy]Aniline has been shown to inhibit the polymerization of poly(ethylene terephthalate), poly(butylene terephthalate), and poly(vinyl alcohol).
