B-[4-(Difluoromethoxy)-3,5-difluorophenyl]boronic acid is a crystalline solid that has been shown to be an agonist at the M3 muscarinic receptor. It has also been shown to act as an antagonist at the alpha-1 adrenergic receptor, and as a competitive antagonist at the M1 and M2 muscarinic receptors. B-[4-(Difluoromethoxy)-3,5-difluorophenyl]boronic acid is used in biomedicine as a reagent for polymer synthesis because of its solvating properties. The compound is also used to make pharmaceuticals such as Rupatadine Fumarate, which is an antihistamine with anti-inflammatory properties.
