Description

1-[(2,6-Difluorophenyl)methyl]-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid is a nonsaturable antimicrobial agent that is used as an intermediate in the preparation of other pharmaceuticals. It can be used for the treatment of epileptic seizures in pediatric patients and hydrogen sulfate poisoning. This drug has been shown to have no effect on seizure rate in adults with epilepsy who are taking either phenytoin or carbamazepine. 1-[(2,6-Difluorophenyl)methyl]-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid has been found to inhibit bacterial growth by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
