2,4-Dichloro-5-fluoro-benzoyl)-3-ethoxyacrylic acid is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that is a structural analog of ciprofloxacin. It has been shown to have an antibacterial spectrum against gram negative bacteria and tissue infections. 2,4-Dichloro-5-fluoro-benzoyl)-3-ethoxyacrylic acid has been shown to be equivalent to ciprofloxacin in terms of pharmacological activity and safety.
