Description:
Ethyl cyclohexylacetate is a primary alcohol that has been synthesized from ethyl diazoacetate and hydrogen fluoride. It has been found to bind to various subtypes of receptors, including those for GABA, serotonin, dopamine, and histamine. It has a molecular diameter of 158.3 pm, which is larger than the diameter of most organic molecules. The asymmetric synthesis of this molecule results in an enantiomeric mixture with a racemic distribution.
