N-[4-[(4-Ethyl-1-piperazinyl)methyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4-methyl-3-(1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-4-yloxy)benzamide is a molecule that has been shown to sensitize drug resistant cells to chemotherapy. It prevents the expression of growth factor receptors, which are proteins that bind to growth factors and initiate cellular responses. This drug has been shown to inhibit autophagy (a process in which cells degrade their own components), and it also inhibits the expression of cancer stem cells.
