4-Ethynyl-3-[3-Fluoro-4-[(2-methylimidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-1-yl)methyl]benzoyl]-N,N-dimethylindole-1-carboxamide hydrochloride is a solvated molecule that crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121. It forms dimers and has an experimental melting point of 173°C. The molecule consists of a skeleton with a benzene ring, two indole rings and two methyl groups. The compound has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex isolates. 4EtNIDICA can be used as a precursor for other compounds with a similar structure.
