Description:

Ethyl 2-fluorobenzoate is a synthetic molecule that is used in the preparation of difluoroethane. It is prepared by reacting ethyl acetoacetate with fluorine gas. The carbonyl group in this molecule reacts with the phosphazene to produce a reactive intermediate, which can then be used to synthesize other compounds.
