Description:
1-Ethyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid is a byproduct of the chlorination process. It is produced by the reaction of pyrazole with chlorine gas in solution. The yield of 1-ethyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid can be increased by using electrolysis to produce the chlorine gas. The product has substituents on the pyrazole ring, which makes it more stable than other compounds in this class.
