Description

Ethyl 2-(2-oxocyclopentyl)acetate is a chiral compound with a boiling point of 78°C. It can be synthesized by the reaction of ethyl formate and cyclopentanol. This process is catalyzed by zirconium chloride and diethylene glycol. The yield of this process is high, and the product has a high enantiopurity.
