Product Information
- 3-(Ethoxycarbonyl)phenyl isocyanate
- 3-Carboethoxyphenyl isocyanate~Ethyl 3-isocyanatobenzoate
- Ethyl 3-Isocyanatobenzoate
Ethyl 3-isocyanatobenzoate is a small molecule that has been found to inhibit the activity of glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β) and stearoyl-coa desaturase 1 (SCD1), two kinases involved in the production of glucose. This inhibition results in reduced levels of glycogen and fatty acids, which may lead to a lowering of the blood glucose level. Ethyl 3-isocyanatobenzoate also inhibits casein kinase 2, which has been shown to be involved in some cancers. It has been shown that this drug can be used orally, as it is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract.
