Description

1-Ethylamino-2-propanol is an alkanolamine that has a strong inhibitory effect on the activation of TNF-α. It also has antioxidative properties and can be used to suppress the production of TNF-α in ovaries. 1-Ethylamino-2-propanol has been shown to have a depressant activity on the central nervous system, which is due to its ability to bind with metal ions such as copper and zinc. This compound also showed high antioxidative activity against lipid peroxidation induced by hydrochloric acid and inhibited cancer cell proliferation.
