Ethyl anilino(oxo)acetate is a synthetic compound that inhibits serine proteases, including trypsin and chymotrypsin. It has been shown to have antiviral effects in vitro against the hepatitis B virus. This molecule also inhibits the production of prostate carcinoma cells by interfering with protease activity.
