4-Ethyl 2-amino-5-bromothiazole-4-carboxylate (ETB) is a synthetic compound that is used as an additive in solar cells. It is a coplanar molecule with two phenyl rings and one amino group. ETB functions as a hole transporter in n-type semiconductors, which are used to make photovoltaic cells. The molecular weight of ETB ranges from 146 to 154 g/mol and the functioned radiation range is between 280 nm and 400 nm. This compound can be measured using Bruker 300 MHz NMR spectroscopy.
