Product Information
Ethyl 4-(methyl(2-phenylthiazol-4-yl)amino)benzoate is a synthetic retinoid that binds to the retinoic acid receptor. It is used in the treatment of psoriasis and other degenerative diseases, such as acne and vitiligo. Ethyl 4-(methyl(2-phenylthiazol-4-yl)amino)benzoate has been shown to have effects on cellular proliferation and differentiation by binding to the all-trans retinoic acid receptor. In cell culture experiments, this molecule has been shown to induce epidermal growth and inhibit cell differentiation. The biological function of this compound is similar to that of natural retinoids, such as all-trans retinoic acid (all-trans RA). All-trans RA is a molecule that regulates gene expression by binding to nuclear receptors RARα or RARβ. This binding results in the activation or repression of transcription of specific
