Ethyl2-(3-formyl-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylate is an anticancer drug that has been shown to have a cytotoxic effect on cancer cells. It may act by interfering with the synthesis of DNA and RNA, which are necessary for cell division. Ethyl2-(3-formyl-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylate has been used in the synthesis of adriamycin, an anticancer drug, and has also been shown to have an anticancer activity against human breast cancer cells.
