Ethyl 4-nitro-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate (ENPC) is a chemical compound that is synthesized from carbonate and pyrrole. It has been shown to have a biological effect in mice, where it increased the number of neutrophils or white blood cells. The linker between the two rings is a nitrogen atom and there are three chains of nitrogen atoms that extend from each ring. ENPC has a molecular formula of C7H9NO3 and its molar mass is 147.19 g/mol. Its melting point is 131 °C and its boiling point is 266 °C.
