Product Information
- ethyl 2-amino-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylate
Ethyl 2-amino-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylate is an anti-inflammatory agent that belongs to the group of potassium salts. It can be used for the treatment of pain and inflammation, such as in arthritis. Ethyl 2-amino-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylate reacts with elemental sulfur to form a thiocyanate salt, which is converted by hydrolysis to an isothiocyanate. The resulting compound binds irreversibly to sulfhydryl groups on proteins and inhibits prostaglandin synthesis. This agent has low toxicity and can be prepared using inexpensive reagents.
