Description:
2-(Ethylsulfanyl)aniline is a synthetic compound that can be prepared by an oxidative cross-coupling of ethyl sulfoxide with aniline. This reaction is irreversible and has been shown to be useful for the synthesis of aminophenyl derivatives. 2-(Ethylsulfanyl)aniline has been used in the preparation of ligands for palladium, platinum, and nickel complexes. It has also been used as a reagent in the synthesis of halides and sulfoxides.
