Product Information
Etidronic acid is a macroinitiator that is used in the production of polyurethane. Etidronic acid monohydrate is a white, odorless, crystalline powder that is soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents. It can be produced by reacting sodium hypophosphite with citric acid at high temperatures and subsequently neutralizing the product with hydrochloric acid. Etidronic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β.
