Description

Ethyl 2-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-5-oxo-3-pyrazolidinecarboxylate is a maleate insecticide. It is synthesized from ethyl 3-[2-(3,4-dichlorophenoxy)pyridin-3-yl]propanoate by diazotization with sodium nitrite and sodium hydroxide followed by treatment with ammonia.
